Apart from looking pretty, it doesnt do anything unless you are building an R2-D2 replica robot and have MarcDuino receiver boards (as described in www.curiousmarc.com). If you do, lucky you. it will allow you to control the dome panels, holoprojectors, sounds and dome lighting of your R2-D2 in all sorts of interesting ways.Commands, in the form of programmable short ASCII strings, are sent via the internal WiFi of the phone/tablet to a remote WiFly receiver.Since you can customize most buttons and commands, you could also use this as a generic remote control app to send any short serial string via WiFi (to a WiFly radio for example). And with a spiffy R2-D2 inspired interface to boot!Fix for Nougat phonesPrevious Update:-Bug fix for sound-Ability to play R2 Audio files through the app and Bluetooth. Place Audio files on the root of the phone, in a folder called R2TouchAudio. Also check the checkbox in settings to enable.
